Question:
Dear Any Hour Services, Electrical, Plumbing, Heating & Air,
How come I don’t have much water pressure on the outside of my house for my backyard, but the water pressure in my front yard is great?
– Jaylene B.
Answer:
Thank you for your question, Jaylene! Several things cause low water pressure; so, to answer your question, we’ll address not only outdoor water pressure but also indoor water pressure as well.
If you have uneven water pressure from the front of your house to the back, or unusually low or high water pressure overall, there are several potential factors. First, often the front or back of the house might be on two different water supplies. For example, the front may be on secondary water and the back on culinary water. In either case, you might have older lines feeding one area of the house or the other. Older lines are subject to buildup or blockages that restrict the flow of water, leaks that reduce water pressure, or other breakdowns. A licensed plumber could scope the pipe and let you know the cause of the problem and what it would take to solve it.
If you have any more questions, we would love to hear from you!
